The European Commission has adopted, in September, two amendments to the Persistent Organic Pollutants (POP) Regulation.

Those amendments concern the inclusion to Annex I as a substances subject to certain restrictions the following susyances:

• the long-chain perfluorocarboxylic acids, their salts and related compounds; and
• the medium-chain chlorinated paraffins.
