Public consultation on the draft update of the national implementation plan of the Stockholm Convention on persistent organic pollutants
The council of government has announced that the public consultation on the draft update of the national implementation plan of the Stockholm Convention on persistent organic pollutants (POP) is open for comments for one month.
The Stockholm Convention on POPs aims to protect the human health and the environment by adopting measure to reduce or eliminate the emissions of POPs. This is important because of the toxicity and longevity of POPs and their potential to accumulate in the fatty tissues of living organisms and hence in the food chain. That is why they are a risk for the environment and the public health. Have your say until 01/07/2024.
