One amendment of the POP regulation has recently been published in the Official Journal.

The amendment (Regulation (EU) 2025/1482) was adopted in July 2025 and aims to reduce the maximum concentration of tetra-, penta-, hexa-, hepta- and decabromodiphenylethers allowed in mixtures and articles which enter into force on the 17 November 2025.

Some exemptions exist for articles fabricated with recycled materials until the end of 2027.
