By Grand Ducal Decree of 5 February 2026, Luxembourg published the amendments to Annex A of the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants, adopted in 2023 and entered into force on 26 February 2025.

Two chemicals have been added to the list of persistent organic pollutants to be eliminated:

• Methoxychlor is listed without exemption;
• Dechlorane Plus is listed with limited exemptions, particularly for certain uses in aerospace, defence and medical devices.
